Programme: The Bar Vocation Course (BVC)
The Bar Vocational Course (BVC) is the vocational training course for those intending to practice as Barristers.
We have vacancies in the following area(s):
Subject Vacancies:
- Advocacy
- Written Skills
In addition a successful applicant may also teach the following:-
- Criminal Litigation and Evidence
- Civil Litigation and Evidence
- Conference
- Negotiation
- Legal Research
- Professional Ethics
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Qualified Barrister or Solicitor
- A strong academic record
- A passion to teach
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- All applicants will have to satisfy the Bar Standards Board requirements for Advocacy tutors
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
- Teaching Experience (not essential as full training will be provided)
- 2 years experience in practice
