Programme: The Bar Vocation Course (BVC)

The Bar Vocational Course (BVC) is the vocational training course for those intending to practice as Barristers.

We have vacancies in the following area(s):

Subject Vacancies:

  • Advocacy
  • Written Skills

 

In addition a successful applicant may also teach the following:-

  • Criminal Litigation and Evidence
  • Civil Litigation and Evidence
  • Conference
  • Negotiation
  • Legal Research
  • Professional Ethics 

 

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Qualified Barrister or Solicitor
  • A strong academic record
  • A passion to teach
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • All applicants will have to satisfy the Bar Standards Board requirements for Advocacy tutors

 

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

  • Teaching Experience (not essential as full training will be provided)
  • 2 years experience in practice

 

Salary:  Competitive salary
