Job Summary:
We are seeking freelance Careers Advisers at BPP Law School in Manchester to assist postgraduate students who intend to qualify as either solicitors or barristers. The role involves giving one to one guidance advice to our students in the day or evening.
A background as a careers adviser, lawyer or in recruitment is sought after. Experience of working with law students in a careers advisory setting is essential.
We are looking to utilise our freelance staff during the busier periods in the careers service, so the hours will be adhoc.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Experience of working with law students in a careers advisory setting is essential
- Educated to degree level
- Clear telephone manner
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skill
- Friendly, approachable manner
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to use own initiative and work under pressure
- Flexibility within working hours
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
- Completion of (or working towards) Careers Guidance qualification or similar (e.g. CIPD
