Carl Lygo

Carl is a Director of BPP Holdings plc, Executive Chairman of BPP College of Professional Studies Limited and the Principal of BPP College.

Carl is a qualified barrister, having practised in London and Yorkshire. He holds a first class undergraduate degree in law as well as a higher research degree and further qualifications in business subjects.

He has been appointed by the Secretary of State for Education (as he was then titled) as the special education member of the GCC. He has also been appointed by the Lord Chief Justice as a member of the Judicial Studies Board advisory committee.

Carl has been nominated as one of the UK's "Hot 100 lawyers" by The Lawyer magazine.
