Liz Smart

Senior Academic, Leeds

Liz is the Senior Academic at BPP Law School in Leeds and was part of the management team which helped BPP to become the first private sector company in the UK to gain degree awarding powers. 

Before taking on her current post she was the Legal Practice Course Director at The University of Sheffield. She has been External Examiner at Liverpool John Moores University for three years and is currently a member of the Quality Assurance Sub-Committee with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). She is also an SRA assessor for validation and monitoring purposes. 

Liz also acts as a consultant to various police forces, advising on best practice in interview and also in courtroom skills.
