Melanie Stewart

Finance director

Melanie joined BPP in 2006 as financial controller. She is currently finance director of BPP University College and a member of the executive board of directors.

Melanie spent ten years in the telecommunications industry holding management positions in business planning and reporting (managing the build of BT Retail’s £13 billion budget), project finance and strategic planning (conducting investment appraisals and undertaking financial, commercial and strategic analysis of new overseas business opportunities).

Before joining BPP, Melanie spent two years as a consultant in the public and not-for-profit sectors at organisations including Ofwat, the Qualifications and Curriculum Auhority and the Home Office.

Melanie is a qualified accountant and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
