Chris Maguire

Director of Quality Assurance and Enhancement

Chris joined BPP in 2005 as its first Director of Quality Assurance and Enhancement. He is responsible for developing and managing the regulatory infrastructure and cultural ethos that underpin the BPP College’s quality standards.

Before joining BPP Chris was the Principal Officer for Education and Training for the Bar Council where his degrees in English and European Literature, and the Renaissance, together with his background in theatre, were considered a sound preparation for joining the legal world. His formal education continues at King’s College London where he is doing a Doctorate in Education.

Chris has held a number of external appointments including: Member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Law Teachers; Consultant to the Nigerian Council of Legal Education; Consultant on legal education to the Cypriot Government; Member of the Lord Chancellor’s Standing Conference on Legal Education; Phineas Gage Group on Neuroscience; UK Centre for Legal Education Advisory Committee member; Association of Personal Injury Lawyers Advisory Committee member and European Stage Experts Committee member.
