Addleshaw Goddard extends releationship with BPP Law School

26 January 2009

BPP Law School (BPP) announces today that leading UK law firm Addleshaw Goddard has extended its relationship with BPP and entered into an arrangement for the law school to provide the Legal Practice Course (LPC) to its trainees for another three years until 2012.

Addleshaw Goddard has been sending all its LPC trainees on an exclusive basis to BPP since 2007. BPP has law schools in Leeds, London and Manchester. Addleshaw Goddard trainees are able to choose in which city to study the LPC and the firm’s trainees study the same programme and receive the same training in all three locations

Sending all its trainees to BPP has ensured consistency of approach and experience for all the firms’ trainees whilst giving them the flexibility of choosing where to study.

Judith Hardy, Director of Human Resources at Addleshaw Goddard said: “We are delighted to have extended our exclusive relationship with BPP until 2012. Working alongside BPP, we have been able to significantly enhance the experience our future trainees have during law school, and ensure a more consistent and business focussed approach to their development. BPP have worked hard to develop a thorough understanding of our business and in addition to LPC provision they have also helped us to develop other successful programmes such as our Diversity Access programme, which was recently highly commended at the Race for Opportunity awards.”

Peter Crisp, Dean of the law school said: “Addleshaw Goddard and BPP Law School have developed a unique relationship that really benefits their trainees and enables the firm to align the trainees’ experience on the LPC with the firms’ internal training programme. This is a tremendous endorsement of the law school and the quality of our LPC and deepens our excellent relationship with Addleshaw Goddard.”
