BPP Law School today announces that leading City law firm, Reynolds Porter Chamberlain LLP (RPC), has selected BPP as the exclusive provider of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) for their trainees from September 2009.

RPC has recognised the advantages of its trainees studying the LPC at a single site, enabling them to get to know each other and experience the firm’s culture during the LPC year. This arrangement enables the firm to streamline its trainees’ experience on the LPC and to align it with the training the firm provides up to the point of qualification.

The LPC at BPP Law School has been developed in consultation with BPP Business School with a unique emphasis on business and finance which means that trainees hone and develop a commercial focus during their legal studies.

Jonathan Watmough, managing partner at RPC, said “We undertook an extensive review and consultation process with BPP to ensure their LPC was right for us. Our trainees will arrive with the same knowledge and skill set, gained from a year at BPP supplemented by visits to and training from key RPC staff and partners.”

Peter Crisp, dean of BPP Law School said: “RPC is a forward-thinking London-based law firm with a wide-ranging practice and I am delighted that BPP is able to offer an LPC which suits their training needs. We look forward to working with RPC to bring out the best in their trainees and to assist in the development of their legal careers as excellent and creative practitioners.”
